Daego Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of cleaning products led by CEO Jowon Hong, had been seeking ways to recycle its ultra-microfiber fabrics, which are either discarded during production or after use. After consulting with KTDI, the company successfully developed cotton-like staple fibers using defibration equipment. These fibers are then processed through carding and needle punching to produce nonwoven fabrics.
The recycled nonwoven fabric, made from reclaimed ultra-microfiber materials, is designed to replace the nonwoven layers traditionally used in absorbent layer. This innovative material not only offers excellent absorption but also aligns with the EU’s strict environmental regulations.
